After leaving the UK in 2000, Sam worked within the overseas travel industry for three years. In 2003 he ran a publicity company based in the Alicante region of Spain. After selling his share in the publicity company in 2005, he embarked on starting his own Media and Marketing company which is now "The Media Venue".
